Importing Additionals and Swaps

Additionals and Swap Types

There are five types of additionals/swaps:

  • Additional – adds the product as well as the original product
  • Replace – replaces the product with a different product
  • Switch – switches the product, but leaves the item the same, so it looks like the original product entered to the customer
  • Web swap – offers the product as a swap to HorizonWeb customers in the cart.
  • Logooffers logo products to embellish the original product

A Logo type swap is used with HorizonWeb to offer logo products in Product Details. Logo products are embellishments to the original product that are specific to the customer. Logo swaps also work with Horizon when talking orders directly. Logo products are displayed in the sales order in italics. When importing a Logo type swap, the main product is set as Flat-pack. The Parts list will remain blank.

Switch sells can be edited on the stock card. They can also be imported from a file.

File format

There is no header row for this file format.

EXAMPLE

Logo swaps

Create a CSV file with data lines similar to:

ProductCode,LogoProductCode,LOGO,N,N,N,N when the logo product is required, or
ProductCode,LogoProductCode,LOGO,N,Y,N,N when the logo product is optional.

You can add more than one Logo swap to a product. Each one is imported as a separate line.
