A parts list is used to list the components of composite products.
- Qty – Quantity required
- Code – Code of item
- Details – Description of item
- Current Stock – Current stock of item
- Item Cost – item's cost
- Last Cost –
- Preferred Supplier – supplier from whom you prefer to buy the product.
A composite product is a product comprised of two or more component parts.
There are three types of composite products created using a parts list:
- Flat-pack product – Flat-pack is selected. When added to an order, the parts list lines can be viewed on the order. This supersedes the Auto-build option.
- Auto-build product – Auto-build is selected. When the product is added to an order, after the sales order is closed (or Build WO is clicked) a works order is created, which needs to be processed.
- Composite product without Auto-build or Flat-pack selected – the composite product line must be built from the Parts List tab on the sales order.
Note: Products with logo product swaps are also set as flat-pack products, but the Parts List remains blank.
