Modify Catalogue

To modify a catalogue's settings:

  1. From the Set-up menu, click Catalogues. The catalogues grid is displayed.
  2. Click the distribution filter tab which contains the catalogue you want to modify. Newly imported catalogues will be in the (Under - Test) tab.
  3. Right-click the catalogue name and, from the context menu, click Modify. The Catalogue window opens.
  4. The following settings can be changed:
    • Name – Catalogue name. This can include the name of the supplier, which set of items and the country the catalogue is for. It doesn't include the date – new catalogues update existing catalogues.
    • Expiry – After the expiry date, items from the catalogue cannot be searched for in Horizon or on HorizonWeb.
    • Priority – The higher the number, the higher the priority. Items from the highest priority catalogue will be used when choosing a product to which multiple items are linked.
    • Trader – the catalogue's supplier trader.
    • Visibility – which customers or Horizon users can see items from this catalogue, known as the catalogue's distribution. Catalogues are displayed under different tabs in Set-up > Catalogues according to their distribution visibility.
      • (Test) – catalogue status after being imported for the first time.
      • Public (seen by all) – distributed to all customers.
      • Customer specific – the catalogue can only be used by the trader selected
      • Distributed – the catalogue is distributed to customers in the Distributed to list.
      • Private (internal use) – the catalogue contains items that you don't want to make available to customers.
      • Web offers – catalogues reserved for HorizonWeb. These items will be displayed on the Offers tab.
    • Cost updates – affected by the option Stop entry last cost changes and pack sizes.
      • No auto update – no cost updates.
      • Update on purchase – updates the item cost to be last cost.
      • Update from main – checks all items linked to the product and updates their item costs.
    • Sales costing – Select from the costing methods defined in Company Set-up. This setting overrides the Company setting for the catalogue.

      Note: If you want to select a FIFO costing method, then the Company option Maintain FIFO records must be selected first.

    • Description – for information only.
    • Nominal sector – overrides the nominal transaction lines to which this catalogue will contribute.

      Note: This will override Product, Range and Sector settings. Typically, this is left blank.

    • ECI Catalogue – deprecated.
    • Enhanced data ref – reference for the file used to import Open Range enhanced data.
    • Options
      • Contract Price – all prices are treated as Product Contracts for customers who have the catalogue distributed to them.
      • Ignore Prices – prices are replaced by the price on the lead item for the product.
      • Lookup to lead – when used, the item code is replaced by the code for the product's lead item.
      • Maintain margins – when updating an item in the catalogue, the margin is maintained as are the related quantity breaks. The new price must be higher than the old price.
      • Hidden catalogue – if the option Hide hidden catalogues is selected in user security, the items cannot be searched for in Find Product.
      • Active – a catalogue must be active before its items can be searched for in Horizon or HorizonWeb.
      • Hide on web – catalogue's items cannot be seen on HorizonWeb
      • Note: If a catalogue has Hide on web cleared, and an item is on contract, it appears in product search. If an item has Hide on Web cleared, and is on a contract, it won't.

      • Punch-out – catalogue contains items that can be personalized, and then shopped for on HorizonWeb, "punching out" to a third party for personalization, before returning to HorizonWeb for checkout.
      • Use keywords – makes the catalogue items searchable on HorizonWeb by populating keywords.
    • Currency – the currency of the catalogue, as set up in Currency Rates.
    • Auto distribute – adds the code specified to non-direct delivery method sales orders, but won't repeat the use of the code.
    • Distribute code
    • Picture code – used with HorizonWeb to display a default image if an image link is not available.
    • Trader types – items can only be searched for in Find product if the trader is of that trader type, e.g. customer.
    • Created – date created.
    • Modified – date modified.
    • Cashback% – used to calculate loyalty points awarded when purchasing items from this catalogue. This setting is superseded by subgroup, group, range and sector settings, and settings for a product.
  5. Click OK.
