Stock Card – Browse

Stock Card Browse is used to find products in Horizon. The sections are:

Header

Use the Browse features to search for catalogue items which meet the parameters you enter.

  • Product – type the beginning of the item code. If you want to search for characters that appear in the middle of an item code, then surround your search term with %.

    EXAMPLE

    KF2120 searches for all item codes beginning with those characters.

    %2120% searches for all item codes with those characters in the middle of the item code.

  • Page – catalogue page. If no catalogue pages have been included in the catalogue file, use 0 (zero).
  • Description/Keyword – type whole words that Update keywords creates, displayed in Stock Card > Detail > Notes. This includes the keywords from ranges and groups.

    Generated keyword search strings are comprised of:

    • Keywords on range and group;
    • Catalogue item code;
    • Catalogue item description;
    • Manufacturer code;
    • Manufacturer description, and
    • Product keywords.

  • Brand – click brand, or select All.
  • Bin – type the beginning of the bin name.
  • Manufacturer – click a manufacturer, or select All.
  • Child codes of – type a master product code and its child products are returned. Alternatively, right-click a code in your search results, and from the context menu, click Show child codes. The code is added to the Child codes of box and a new search is made. This box does not accept partial search codes.
  • Delivery – reserved for future development.
  • In local stock – only displays items where stock of the product is held in the current branch (the Stock Branch set in Company Set-up).
  • Lead only – items returned are lead items for a product
  • Green only – item is flagged as "green" (usually by the supplier as part of a catalogue import). The item meets an environmental credential of some sort, such as being manufactured from recycled materials, displaying the Fairtrade Foundation mark, or an energy efficiency award.

    Note: The Green flag is set by VOW. Catalogues downloaded from the Data Services Portal do not contain the Green flag, but the attributes downloaded do include attributes such as Recycled Product.

  • Include out of use – include out of use items in search results. Option can be hidden in Define Security.
  • In any stock – the total of Current quantities from all branches.

    Note: In any stock supersedes In local stock.

  • Customer specific – reserved for future development
  • Child products only – items returned have a master product code allocated.
  • Master products only – items returned have child products allocated to them.
  • Include attribute value for – items returned have this attribute included as a column in the grid, e.g. Clothing size.

Select

  • Supplier – supplier of the product.
  • Range – product range (usually specified in the catalogue).
  • Group – product group (usually specified in the catalogue). Depends upon the range being specified.
  • Subgroup – product subgroup (usually specified in the catalogue). Depends upon the group being specified.

Grid

Note: If a stock location has been set for the contact (the user that has logged into Horizon) then figures relate to that stock location.

  • Code – Item's code. An alphanumeric code, 30 characters max.
  • Details – 150 character item description.
  • RRP – item's recommended retail price.
  • Price – item's sale price.
  • Trade – item's trade price.
  • Cost – item's cost.
  • Last cost – product's last cost for the stock location of the contact that's logged in. If there is no stock record (for instance if the item has not been ordered) then the item's cost is displayed.
  • Pack – item's pack size.
  • Page – catalogue page the item is on (if the imported catalogue has pages).
  • Bin – bin location for the contact that's logged in.
  • Stock – quantity available at the stock location of the contact who is logged in.
  • Catalogue – name of the catalogue the item is in.
  • Priority – used to display products on HorizonWeb in priority order, if their ranking is equal after the customer's choice of sort order is selected.
  • Supplier – item's supplier's trader code.
  • Supplier name – item's supplier's name.
  • Sor – quantity (for contact's stock location) on sales orders before stock is allocated.
  • Por – quantity (for contact's stock location) on purchase orders.
  • Min – total minimum stock for that stock branch for the product. Used by the option Use minimum stock in Purchases > Shopping, when shopping for Stock and orders.
  • Max – total maximum stock for that stock branch for the product. Reserved for future development.
  • S.Pack – item's sale pack.
  • Brand – product's brand.
  • Manufacturer – product's manufacturer.
  • Other stock – total stock on the other branches, not shown in current stock.
  • Product ID – unique identifier for the product to which the item is linked. If items returned by a search have the same Product ID, they are linked to the same product.
  • Supplier Stock – the stock quantity for your local warehouse, used for delivery method Default (Bulk). Updated by Direct Stock Feeds.
  • Consumer Stock – the stock quantity for the warehouse your supplier uses for delivery method Customer Delivery by Supplier (pick and wrap). Updated by Direct Stock Feeds.
  • Last Updated – the time the stock feed was last updated.
  • Consumer Lead – number of days before your customer will receive a product delivered directly to them (pick, wrap and deliver).
  • Dealer Lead – number of days before you will receive a product delivered to your warehouse (standard, or pick, wrap and label).
  • Free – free stock for the contact's stock location (minus what has been allocated).
  • Last
  • Matrix – item's matrix letter, a supplier's classification based on catalogue, range and product demand
  • Range – name of product's range.
  • Sell

Filters and Export

  • Range sort – sorts results by product range.
  • Export – exports the current search. A number of common file types can be chosen.
  • Print grid – prints the current search, displaying first as a print preview.

Setting Options for Several Products

Groups

Product groups can be added to help categorize products for HorizonWeb or create Marketing campaigns. They are created in Set-up > User-Defined Groups > Products.

Filter your search, use extended selection to select those products you want to update, then click one of the following:

  • Add keywords – add extra keywords to the selected items.
  • Add customization – add customization options (that you have previously configured) for a product.
  • Set groups – selects a user defined product group for the selected items.
  • Clear groups – clears a user defined product group for the selected items.
  • Set hide web – selects Hide on web for selected items.
  • Clear hide web – clears Hide on web for selected items.
