Stock Card – Detail – Notes
There are three types of note that can be added to a product:
All types of notes are typed on the Notes tab.
- In the Stock menu, click Products (or press F8). The Stock Card opens on the Browse tab .
- In the Product box, type the product code, then click Search (or press Enter).
- Select an Item, then click OK. The Detail tab opens.
- Click Notes.
Create a Pop-Up Note
Pop-up notes appear during order entry in a message box, if the product is added to an order.
- Click Notes.
- Click Pop-up Notes.
- Type the pop-up note into the box.
- Click Confirm.
Set Up Line Notes to be Automatically Added
Line notes appear on orders and quotes. You may want a note to appear whenever a particular product is added to an order. You can include line notes on forms.
- Click Notes.
- Click Line Notes.
- Type the line note into the box.
- Click Confirm.
When the line notes are added to the transaction:
- Print includes the note on forms.
- Set default – sets the current Print option as the default option for new documents. This setting is specific for each login.
Keywords
Keywords are used to create words that can be searched for, by your customers who use HorizonWeb. Manually added keywords override keywords generated from the product description.
- Click Notes.
- Click Keywords.
- Type keywords you want you customers to use in a search, to identify a product.
- Click Confirm.
Keywords are added to the keyword search string for the product and can be used for HorizonWeb searches a few seconds later.
Master products are given the keywords from all of their child products. For example, when searched on HorizonWeb, "orange shirt" will return master products that have a child product with "orange" and "shirt" in the description.
Keyword Search Strings
Generated keyword search strings are comprised of:
- Keywords on range and group;
- Catalogue item code;
- Catalogue item description;
- Manufacturer code;
- Manufacturer description, and
- Product keywords.
