Import Product File
When product files, or catalogues, are imported into Horizon, items are added to the Horizon database that you can make available for your customers to buy through manually entered sales orders, imported orders, and HorizonWeb.
Automated Catalogue Import
From Horizon Cloud 4.61, catalogues can be updated by setting a schedule on Data Services Portal.
Catalogue Import Files
Before importing catalogues, make sure your catalogue import files are up to date.
Using Import
Import divides the types of files you can import across three tabs:
- Import Settings
- Catalogues – New catalogues, full updates, partial updates;
- Terms – update the cost prices of catalogue items;
- Quotations – create New sales quotations and purchase quotations;
- Contracts – create New contracts for your customers.
- Extras
- VOW Europe specific information
- OTW/Spicers Ireland specific information
- Switch sells .
- Custom Data
- Attributes – additional characteristics for items, such as size, colour or other design characteristics that make the item marketable. You can import your own attributes, or import attributes downloaded from Data Services Portal.
- Enhanced data – data provided by FusionPlus, downloaded from the Data Services portal, including Image links, Bullet points, Document links, Marketing text and Alternatives and additionals product data.
- Image URLs – import your own image links, including multiple images for each product.
- Parts lists – import composite products.

Horizon users can be given access to Import Product Files in Define Security.
