Company Set-up

Company Set-up is used for creating new company details and maintaining existing company details.

Toolbar

Confirm – confirms changes.
Cancel – cancels changes, and reverts to the original settings.
Contacts – company contacts are Horizon users. Use this in conjunction with Logins.

These details are used throughout Horizon, particularly on forms and reports you send to your customers.

Code – short code to identify your company.
Name – organization name.
Address – three lines for your premises (department or building), thoroughfare (street, or dependant street), locality (village or suburb).
Town – Your post town.
County – Your county.
Postcode – Your postcode.
Stock branch –
VAT registration – Your VAT registration number. 9 or 12 characters long, sometimes starting with GB
Note: This is used when submitting digital VAT returns to HMRC for Making Tax Digital for VAT. Type a nine digit number, omitting the GB prefix.
Detailed –
EORI number – you use an EORI number when you move goods between Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) or the Isle of Man, and other countries (external link). Field is 14 characters wide, e.g. GB123456789000.
VAT authority – The authority to whom you submit your VAT return.

HMRC (UK) – His Majesty's Revenue and Customs. Choosing HMRC as your VAT authority let you submit your VAT return electronically. This must be selected before other direct Making Tax Digital for VAT features can be used.
Revenue (Republic of Ireland) – Irish Tax and Customs. Choosing Revenue as your VAT authority does not enable any other functionality at present.

Currency – Company base currency, from which multi-currency transactions are calculated. Currencies are set up in Set-up > Currency Rates.
Company registration – used as part of the Postcode Finder configuration.
