System Options

  • Show pictures – displays product images.
  • Enable online returns – Allows customers to submit returns online.
    • on trader basis – select to choose specific traders

      Note: If you select on trader basis, for each trader you want to use the option, type returnontraderbasis=true into the trader's Special Settings on the trader card.

  • Use quoted quantity as minimum not required – The quantity on the sales quotation is used as the minimum amount to be ordered.
  • Show account creation tab – adds a 'Create Account' tab to the menu. This allows non-account customers to request an account.
  • Create an account message page – When a user creates an account, HorizonWeb will swap to the page defined. If not defined it will open the home page.
  • Group authorize orders by authorizer – you can view orders awaiting authorization by authorizer.
  • Allow fast order of hide on web items – When selected, customers can use fast order for items in catalogues with Hide on Web selected, when they know the item code. Trader > Settings > Customer Settings > Web Rules > Allow Fast Order must also be selected.
  • Allow ordering of web hidden items via quotesHide on web items can be added to basket when ordering from a quote.
  • Show 'Contract only' check box on keyword search – User can limit search to contract items only by selecting a 'Contract only' option when searching.
  • Show machines  – Allows customers to see machines information.
  • Show Green Items link on menu – Adds a 'Green' tab to the main menu.
  • HTML email confirmations – Allows HTML formatted emails to be sent.
  • Allow traders to be linked via groups – When selected, traders are linked together using Trader User defined Groups.
  • Use consumable finder – Displays the link to the consumables finder.
  • Show consumable images – Displays images for the brand, printer type and printer instead of selecting from a list.
  • Allow customers to pay invoices online – When selected, users can pay for invoices online.

    Note: You need a PayPal or Sage Pay payment gateway set up before selecting this option.

  • Show Top Selling Products for last x days – Works in conjunction with the TopSelling control. It displays the company's top selling products.
  • Show mini cart pop-up – The amount of time the mini cart will display when an item is added to the cart.
  • Number of products in Top Selling Control – Works in conjunction with the TopSelling control. It controls the number of products displayed.
  • Show Aged Debtors on Financial Screen – Displays the Aged Debt on the Financial section - displayed with the columns: Current, 1 Month, 2 Month, 3 Month, 4 or More, Total O/S and Cash.
  • Show add to favourites as pop-up list – Organize your favourite products into lists. When adding a product to your favourites list, create a new list or select an existing list.
  • Use SSL Certificate for Login – Selecting this option means HTTPS is used for the login only. Checkout would only be encrypted if you are using payment providers such as SagePay or PayPal.

    Note: You must have an SSL certificate installed.

  • User defined product swap classes
    • With no Open Range data: Leaving the box blank displays products on one 'Alternatives' tab. By typing the name of the Swap Class in the box, products with the same swap class are displayed on their own tab. This lets you split up the alternatives so customers are able to differentiate between Green Items, Star Buys, Quality alternatives. Swap class is set on the item in Horizon > Stock Card > Additional/Swaps tab.

      Note: To enter multiple values they should be separated with a comma e.g. Green,Star Buy,Quality

    • With Open Range data: Open Range adds attributes to the product data. Type the name of the Swap Class in the box, to display them in a section called Related Products.

      Example

      You want to set a related product of a toner to appear on the product page of a laser printer. In Horizon, open the stock card for the printer and on the Additional/Swaps tab, add the toner product as a Replace action swap with a swap class of Alternative. In HorizonWeb, type Alternative in the User Defined Product Swap Classes box.

  • Redirect to page after login – This can be an existing page, or a custom page which you want your customers to see immediately. Format: file-name.aspx .
  • Turn on HTTPS for HorizonWeb – Selecting this option redirects all incoming HTTP traffic over HTTPS. No traffic will go over HTTP. This is the preferred option. Customers' old bookmarks will still work because the old HTTP addresses are redirected to HTTPS.

    Note: This requires an SSL certificate to be installed on your web-server and means the HTTP protocol will no longer work.

  • X-Frame-Options exclusion listHorizonWeb does not allow pages to run in a frame. However, some sites, such as certain punch-outs, need to be excluded from this rule. Format: domain.com (no www or protocol required). List sites separated by semi-colons.
  • Allow login via an iframe – Iframes are used to display web pages within web pages. Allowing logins via an iframe is considered by some to be a security risk. Others like the convenience of being able to embed a HorizonWeb login from their own website.

    Note: If this option is cleared, any login requests via an iframe won't work.

  • Hide Order Tracking box when not logged in – prevents users from being able to track orders unless logged into their account.
  • Use Analysis – When selected, and Analysis is configured on the trader, analysis segments can be selected in the cart
    • for delivery – the web will check for a delivery address matching the analysis and set as default.
  • Show analysis on checkout – analysis is displayed on the checkout screen.
  • Automatically log users in after creating an account – Once a user has created an account it will automatically log them in.
  • Disable login via username – only email addresses, not usernames, can be used to log in.
  • Fast Order Ignores product restrictions – When selected, customers can use fast order to order any product from any in use, in date catalogue they know the code for. Catalogue Distributions and the options, Horizon: Catalogue > Hide on Web, Horizon: Trader > Settings > Customer Settings > Web Rules > Restricted Ranges, and HorizonWeb > Admin > Global Options > Browse Options > Lead Item Only are ignored.
  • Allow scheduled orders – Adds Delivery date box to the product details control. The available dates are based upon your company's working days and the lead time of the product. Delivery date = today + lead time. Delivery date must be a company working day – if not, the next working day is used. Lead time is Consumer lead time, or if that is 0, then the Supplier lead time is used. If they are both 0, then the next working day is selected.
  • Allow subscriptions – Adds a Subscribe list to the product details control. User can click:
    • No subscription
    • Daily
    • Weekly
    • Monthly
    • Start date for the subscription.

    The first start date available is calculated for the Delivery date above. A repeat sales order (AUTO) is created. Subscriptions can be suspended (and activated again) by the customer from their Accounts page.

  • Allow journals on financial screen – Adds sales journals and journal credits to the customer's finance section.
  • Allow unposted invoices on financial screen – Allows the customer to see invoices that have not yet been posted within Horizon.
  • Enable CSS Popout on sector browse menu – When selected, a CSS pop-out browse is displayed (starting on sector). Users can navigate through Range, Group and Subgroup depending on the level value set.
    • Menu Pop-out levels – 1 = Range level, 2 = Group level, 3 = Subgroup level
  • Show Top 50 products list for last x days – When selected, the customer to see the Top 50 products that have been purchased by the TRADER they are assigned to. The text box allows you to define the number of days the top 50 will look at.
  • Priority cut-off for contracts – Enter a contract priority. For contracts with a lower priority, if an order contains any non-contract product, the contract limit authorization settings are followed. The order will
  • Website culture – Select the default culture of the website.
  • Website language – Select the default language of the website.
  • Length of time showing mini cart – The length of time the mini cart will be displayed in milliseconds. Requires the 'Show Mini Cart Pop-up' option to be selected.
  • Use cache for database queries – This is used to cache results, so that if the same query is ran again the results will display much quicker.
    • Cache Duration: – Duration in minutes.
  • Show accounts page in tab format – displays a row of tabs on the Accounts page to navigate to, the tabs' visibility depending on other options:
  • Check stock levels on cart
  • Hide loyalty items from order history – items that your customers choose from the loyalty points catalogue are not listed in their orders shown in Accounts > History.
  • Include contracted Hide on web items when searching – Items set as Hide on web in Catalogue Entry or are in a catalogues set as Hide on web in Modify Catalogue, can be searched for if they are included in an order-pad the user can access.

Click Save Settings when you have changed options.
