Analysis

Analysis codes can be set for a customer. They will then be included by default in the sales order header (under the Customer Analysis tab) for that customer's orders.

Customer analysis codes can be used across your business to analyse any patterns where you are distinguishing between different types of sales order for a customer. Customer analysis can have three different levels of codes called segments.

HorizonWeb can be set up to use customer analysis with the system options:

  • Use Analysis – When selected, and Analysis is configured on the trader, analysis segments can be selected in the cart
    • for delivery – the web will check for a delivery address matching the analysis and set as default.
  • Show analysis on checkout – analysis is displayed on the checkout screen.

Orders sourced from HorizonWeb that do not have analysis codes selected in checkout will use the default analysis codes (which can be selected on the customer, the customers' departments or the customer contact).

Orders imported using Orders and Receipts Import Service can have analysis codes applied by using the nodes:

  • OrderLine/OrderLineReferences/ContractOrderReference/AnalysisSegment1
  • OrderLine/OrderLineReferences/ContractOrderReference/AnalysisSegment2
  • OrderLine/OrderLineReferences/ContractOrderReference/AnalysisSegment3.

ExampleS

  • You may want to look at sales in each region across a trader. You could create a level 1 analysis code for each region and a level 2 code to divide each region further.
  • Analysis codes can be configured for whatever you find useful. It doesn't have to be to analyse geographical areas. For instance, you may want to set up a multi-level cost centre structure where the cost centre is broken down into segments.
  • You can also set up HorizonWeb to set an analysis code according to the selected delivery branch.
