Suppliers update their stock quantities so you know what they have available for ordering for stock, and for direct delivery.
The information displayed in Stock Enquiry is from a different source than Direct Stock Feeds. Direct Stock Feeds are usually refreshed more regularly.
Direct Stock Feeds are a newer way of getting stock information with the information displayed when you are:
Direct stock feed information can be seen in:
- Stock Card – Detail – Catalogues tab
- Sales Order – Detail tabs – Details
- Stock Card Browse – Grid
- Shopping List
Note: Stock feed quantities are only displayed for In Use items.
Direct Stock Feeds can also be configured to display available stock for your customers in HorizonWeb.
Stock Enquiry must be set up for each supplier.
Using Stock Enquiry
For your supplier to be shown in Stock Enquiry, Enquire from this branch must be selected on the supplier's Comms settings.
- Local stock – Stock local to the branch selected.
- IBT stock – Inter branch transfer stock. (Stock that can be transferred from another branch)
- TPD (central) stock – Stock deliverable from a third party or the central distribution centre.
- Show qty in packs – Instead of singles, show in multiples of pack size.
- Postcode – used as part of the Truline enquiry.
- All suppliers – when selected, enquiries are made to all suppliers, whether they are selected or not. When cleared, only the selected suppliers in the list below are used.
