Deals

Sales Deals that have been created for one customer can be granted to other customers (or prevented from affecting pricing). Using this feature, when you change the primary deal, all the secondary deals are changed. This feature is often used by creating a dummy trader (Type S) as a primary customer, then allocating primary customers to the secondary customer under the Deals tab.

Alternatively, you may have a customer that operates a franchise model, where different their sites are separate companies, so a head office (Type S) and branch (Type D) trader structure is not suitable, but you want all of the franchises to use the same deal. Each franchise can be set as a secondary customer of a primary customer.

Before setting up the primary/secondary deal association, the customers should already be set up.

Creating a Primary/Secondary Deal Association

  1. From the Set-up menu, click Traders. The Trader card opens.
  2. Browse for the secondary customer. The customer opens on the Details tab.
  3. Click the Deals trader tab. To the right of the pane, the Deals for this trader tab is selected.
  4. Below the list of deals, click Add. The Find Trader window opens.
  5. Using the Account, Reference and Name boxes, type search criteria to find the primary customer. Double-click the customer to add them to the list.
  6. Click Confirm. Deals for the primary customer now also apply to the secondary customer.

Deleting a Primary/Secondary Deal Association

  2. Select the primary customer from the list.
