Creating a New Campaign
To create a new marketing campaign:
- On the CRM / Marketing menu, click Marketing.
- Click Add. A new Campaign Details window opens.
- In the Campaign Name box, type a description for the campaign, so you can identify it easily.
- Click Add. A row is added to the list in the middle pane.
- Decide if you want to use a list of traders to include in your campaign, or exclude a list of traders from your campaign. In the Criteria list, click Include or Exclude.
- In the Traders list select a pre-saved trader group you want to include in or exclude from your campaign.
- If you haven't created a trader selection, click New. The Trader Selection window opens.
- If you want to edit a trader selection previously created, select it from the Trader list, then click Edit. The Trader Selection window opens.
- In the Sub criteria list, click how you want to further define your campaign.
- None – just use the trader group.
- Product – filter according to products traders have bought or have not bought.
- Branch spend – individual branch spend, including branches which have spent ‘less than’ or ‘more than’ a specified amount.
- Product plus branch spend – a combined search using product and branch spend.
- Account spend – return traders (looking at the full account spend), who have spent ‘less than’ or more than a specified amount’.
- Product plus account spend – a combined search based on product and account spend.
- If required, complete the Spend boxes.
- Select All Dates, or from the Date range list, select a date range filter. You can also create a New filter, or Edit an existing one.
- If you intend to email your campaign, you must also:
- add an image from the Image tab.
- write an outgoing message on the Email tab.
- select Remove duplicate email addresses if you don't want to send the campaign email multiple times, if the same address is used for several contacts.
- Click Confirm, then click Close. The campaign can then be processed.
Note: Depending on which option you’ve selected, different boxes are displayed.
