The C:EditDepartment control is used when a Web Admin user adds or edits a department, from Department Information.

Functionality

Edit Department is used to let a web admin user edit department information, configure budgets and set a department authorizer.

Settings are reflected in Horizon's Trader Card > Departments. Budgets are recalculated when orders are placed for their department.

  1. Complete the following:
    • Department code – department code
    • Department name – name for the department
  2. The Budgets section is used to set a department wide budget.
    • Current budget – the initial budget allocated to the department
    • Current spend – order total spent against this budget. If Spend exceeds Budget then the order must be authorized by the authorizer on HorizonWeb
    • Reset spend – set the budget to 0.00
    • Remaining budget – budget − spend
  3. The Options section lets you configure the department and how the department's budget is managed.
    • Set budget to – set budget to this amount
    • Department's authorizer – this contact can authorize orders set with this department
    • Active department – when selected, the department can be selected on transactions in Horizon and in HorizonWeb checkout
  4. Click Submit.
