Sales Contract Detail – Contract
Each contract line has:
- Code – Item's code. An alphanumeric code, 30 characters max.
- Details – Product description. The lead item's description, but can be edited.
- Quantity – Product quantity
- Pack – Item pack size.

- Retail – Retail price

- Contract price – the price the customer will pay according to this contract. This is either typed directly (in which case Discount or Margin are calculated), or calculated according to the deal Method and the associated values.

- Method – the pricing strategy used for the contract line.
- Scope – the extent or range of products to which a contract applies.
- Discount – the per cent discount given for the contract line. Change when using % Discount deals. It will otherwise be calculated from other boxes. Calculated as:
- Margin – the per cent profit margin that will be realized for the contract line. Change when using % Margin or Min% Margin deals. It will otherwise be calculated from other boxes.
- Old price – previous contract price
- Old cost – previous contract cost
- Department – customer department code and name for the department.
- Higher than – apply if Retail or Cost (depending on the deal method) is higher than this amount
- and Lower – apply if Retail or Cost (depending on the deal method) is lower than this amount.
Example
You have created a Range deal for a 20% Discount (from RRP) for PPE and Clothing. However, you only want to apply this deal to products with a Retail price of £30 or over or less than £100. Set:
- Code – an item from the range, e.g. BRG10007
- Method – % Discount (from RRP)
- Scope – Range Deal
- Discount – 20.00
- Higher than – 29.99
- and Lower – 100.00
You have created a Range deal for 10% Margin (from Last Cost) for Printer/Fax/Copier Supplies. However, you only want to apply this deal to products with a Last cost of £20 or over. Set:
- Code – an item from the range, e.g. BA10547
- Method – % Margin (from Last Cost)
- Scope – Range Deal
- Margin – 20.00
- Higher than – 19.99
- and Lower – 9999.99 (a value larger than your largest cost)
- History – how many times the customer has purchased the product
- Competitor – competitor's price.
