The WelcomeContent swap out replaces the content of a page, with bespoke content designed for logged in users.
WelcomeContent can display bespoke content for:
- Contacts – individual users, after they have logged in.
- Trader – all contacts linked to the trader, after they have logged in.
- Web – all users, whether they are logged in or not.
It is entered in Horizon but changes the appearance of HorizonWeb. Contacts content supersedes Trader content, which supersedes Web content.
Note: You don't have to use WelcomeContent as a welcome message, or on the home page. It is a general purpose swap out that can be used to display bespoke content, on any page, in place of what would usually appear on that page.
Creating WelcomeContent Welcome Messages
The content for WelcomeContent is added in Horizon as Welcome Messages.
- Contacts – Web – Welcome.
- Trader – Settings – Customer Settings – Web Welcome
- Web Set-up – Welcome Message.
Adding the WelcomeContent Swap Out to a Page
WelcomeContent can be added to any page. Usually it is added to the home page.
- Log in to HorizonWeb using your Administrator username and password and open the HorizonWeb Administration Page.
- Click HorizonWeb Designer, Edit Content Pages.
- In the Select a page list, click the page you want to edit, for example Home, then click Edit Page.
- The page's HTML code is displayed.
Note: The page's master page is displayed in square brackets with an M: prefix, e.g. [M:Master]. The content page exists within the template of its master page. The swap out will only replace the content page.
- On the line after the master page tag, type
[WelcomeContent]. - Click Save Page.
- Exit the HorizonWeb Administration Page.
Parameters
[WelcomeContent;Style=control] – Allows other controls to surround WelcomeContent. This means it's suitable for smaller custom messages such as, "Don't forget to use order number," or "Any problems, call your rep Tim, on (01632) 123456."
