Add a Punch-out Link to the Menu
Your punch-out can be added to the main menu navigation. When the new cXML punch-out is configured, a new link is created, which can be added to a menu.
Adding a link to the main menu
- Browse to your home page, log in as the Admin user, and follow the Admin link.
- Click HorizonWeb Settings > Punch-out Settings > Configure cXML.
- Edit the cXML Profile that you want to add to the main menu.
- Select Display link in menu, then Save Changes. A content page called cxml<Profile Name> is created, containing the control cXMLPunchout, with a parameter identifying the new cXML profile.
- Return to the HorizonWeb Administration Page.
- Click HorizonWeb Designer > Menu Builder.
- Select the MainMenu menu, then click Edit Menu.
- The menu item's Menu Text is the name of the cXML punch-out and the Link is cxml followed by the name of the punch-out.
Manually adding a punch-out link to the main menu
- Browse to your home page, log in as the Admin user, and follow the Admin link.
- Click HorizonWeb Settings > Punch-out Settings > Configure cXML.
- Edit the cXML Profile that you want to add to the main menu.
- Triple-click the Menu Link to select it, right-click and from the context menu, click Copy.
- Return to the HorizonWeb Administration Page.
- Click HorizonWeb Designer > Edit Content Pages.
- Click Create New Page.
- Type the name of the page (e.g. cxmlPunchOutProfile) in the new box, then click the green tick.
- Type a Page Title.
- In the main code box, right-click, and from the context menu, click Paste. The menu link copied earlier is added to the page.
- Click Save Page.
- Return to the HorizonWeb Administration Page.
- Click HorizonWeb Designer > Menu Builder.
- Select the MainMenu menu, then click Edit Menu.
- Click the green plus icon to add a new menu item.
- In the Text box, type the text you want to appear in your menu. From the Link list, select the page you created above.
- Click Add.
- Return to the site's home page and refresh.
