Editing the Browse Content Page to Include Banners
The Browse page can be edited to include banners by adding a control called [C:Banner]. This is a good example of adding a control to a content page to change the look and feel and functionality of a page.
The Browse page displays a grid of product sectors, ranges, groups or subgroups, depending at which level your customer is browsing.
- Log into HorizonWeb as an administrator.
- Click Admin > HorizonWeb Designer > Edit Content Pages.
- In the Select a Page list, click Browse as the page to edit then click Edit Page.
- The page opens in the editor. It will probably read:
[T:Browse]
[M:Master]
[C:Browse]
- We're going to add the [C:Banner] control before the [C:Browse] control:
- Click in the editor before [C:Browse];
- In the list of controls on the right, click [C:Banner];
- Press Enter.
- Click Save Page. The message Saved Successfully is displayed.
You can now create banners to use on the Browse page.
