Creating a Meter
Each machine will have a set of meters to measure its output. For example, the Ricoh Aficio MP C2051 has 30 different meters. You will need to decide which meters reflect your contracts and only create these meters.
- In the Machines list, click the machine to which you want to create a meter.
- In the Meters group, click Add.
- In the Name box, type e.g. Black or Colour. Printanista or FMAudit users must match the ERPMeter name you have created in Printanista Hub or FMAudit Central:
- FMA Central 4 – Admin > Syncs > Data Syncs > ESN > Sync name > Edit the sync > Meter Mapping tab
- A meter mapping is set for all devices in FMAudit, so if you set meter mappings of:
FmaMeter ERPMeter Mono Pages = Black Color Pages = Colour
then you must name all your colour page meters, “Colour” and all your black and white page meters, “Black”.
- In the Contract Charge box type a value per billing method. This charge is added to each invoice, so the correct machine billing method should be chosen according to the contract you have with the customer.
- Your contract will specify how much you charge for each page. In the Charge box, type a value in pounds to four decimal places. In the Per box, type the quantity of pages a customer can print for each charge.
- In the Qty Free box, type the number of copies included within the contract. This is applied for each billing period.
- In the Cost box, type the cost to you for each page printed.
- In the Initial / Last Reading box and the Last Charged Reading box, type the same values for a new meter.
- The First box is a free text box you can use for reporting. You can choose the first meter reading, the date the contract started or something else.
- The Reviewed at box is a free text box you can use for reporting. You could choose the date the contract was reviewed, the date the machine was last serviced, or something else.
- Click Confirm.
