Creating a Trader Template

You can set up a trader template to ensure that new traders created in the system automatically inherit a set of default settings. This template applies when:

• Creating a new trader within Horizon
• Traders are created by the Orders and Receipts Import Service or Horizon API when new orders are created

  Note: The Allow orders to create traders option applies to both Orders and Receipts Import Service and Horizon API.

1. From the Set-up menu, click Traders, or press F9. The Trader card opens.
2. Click Add. The Details tab is selected.
3. In the Code box, type __ (two underscore characters)
4. Set other values that you want to have set by default.
5. Click Confirm to save the template.

Checking or Editing Your Trader Template

1. From the Set-up menu, click Traders, or press F9. The Trader card opens on the Browse tab.
2. In the Code box, type __ (two underscore characters) then click Search.
3. Double-click the trader record to open and edit the template settings.

When is a Trader template not used?

Horizon will not use the template information when:

• Using Add Delivery in Trader > Branches
• A Web Lead is generated from HorizonWeb
