Export to MapPoint

The MapPoint data format is useful for exporting delivery data from Horizon into third-party geographic information systems.

To export MapPoint data:

1. From the Deliveries/Returns tab, select the sales delivery notes to include in your export, by clicking Select All, or using extended selection.
2. Click Export to MapPoint. A window opens to confirm the number of rows you want to include.
3. A window opens to confirm the number of rows you want to include in the export. Click Yes to confirm the row selection.
4. A Browse window opens for you to choose the destination to which the export is saved. Click a folder and click OK.
5. An information window confirms that the export has completed. Click OK. The file exported with the name: MapPoint_YYYYMMDDhhmmss.csv .

Import MapPoint Data into Horizon

You can import optimized deliveries and collections into Horizon, so that the van stop is updated for each route.

1. Each Van Name is shown in a pane on the right of the Delivery Manager.

   Note: It is possible to hide this pane. If you cannot see it, click the narrow vertical button with two arrows pointing left, to show it again.

2. Right-click the Van Name, and click Import from MapPoint.
3. A Confirm window opens, asking you to confirm that this is the van for which you want to import data . Click Yes.
4. An Open window opens, so you can browse to your optimized route file. Click the file, then click Open.
5. The delivery notes are updated.

Note: Remember that:

If a delivery note has been deleted, then any optimized data for that delivery is ignored.
This process will not mark deliveries as confirmed.
