Create a Sales Order Template

You can create a template for sales orders so that some options are selected or cleared as an order is created. There are few reasons for setting a template, because most options are already set when an order is imported or set by company options. Using a template remains as an option if you cannot find another way of meeting your business case.

  1. Create a template trader, with the Code TEMPLATE. This is a dummy trader you can use for different templates.
  2. Create a new sales order for the TEMPLATE trader.
  3. Under the Customer tab, type a Reference starting with __SORD (underscore, underscore, SORD).
  4. Set options that you want to persist on other orders, whether they are imported with Orders and Receipts Import Service or when they are created manually.
  5. Click Confirm.
  6. Close the order.
  7. You will be asked it you want to delete an empty order. Click No.
  8. Create a new sales order. The options set on the template will be set on the new sales order.
