Create a Sales Order Template
You can create a template for sales orders so that some options are selected or cleared as an order is created. There are few reasons for setting a template, because most options are already set when an order is imported or set by company options. Using a template remains as an option if you cannot find another way of meeting your business case.
- Create a template trader, with the Code TEMPLATE. This is a dummy trader you can use for different templates.
- Create a new sales order for the TEMPLATE trader.
- Under the Customer tab, type a Reference starting with __SORD (underscore, underscore, SORD).
- Set options that you want to persist on other orders, whether they are imported with Orders and Receipts Import Service or when they are created manually.
- Click Confirm.
- Close the order.
- You will be asked it you want to delete an empty order. Click No.
- Create a new sales order. The options set on the template will be set on the new sales order.
