Creating HorizonWeb Voucher Codes

You can create voucher codes for HorizonWeb shoppers to use before they check out. Voucher codes can be restricted to one use for each trader. They can also be restricted to particular types of orders.

First, if you want to offer set price discounts, create voucher products.

Create the voucher's auto added line

  1. On the Set-up menu, click Auto added lines.
  2. In the toolbar, click Add. A blank line is added to the grid. Complete the Details below:
  3. In the Index box, type a unique label.

Note: If you create multiple voucher codes, and want to restrict the user to only apply one for each order, then give each voucher the same index. Only unique indexes can be added to the same order.

  4. In the Name box, type a name for the voucher code.
  5. Add if value lets you control if the voucher can be used based on the value of the goods in the order. In the Add if value list, click Greater than or Less than, then type the value in the following box.

Note: Add if value is calculated on the subtotal of the order lines, before delivery charges and VAT are added.

  6. In the Specific source list, click HorizonWeb. This limits the voucher code to HorizonWeb orders.
  7. In the HorizonWeb voucher box, type a name for the voucher code. This is the code your customer will type in the HorizonWeb cart, to use the voucher.
  8. Select Apply once to limit to the voucher code to one use for each trader.

Note: If a customer attempts to use a voucher twice , they are informed it is not valid. If a trader's contact uses the voucher code, then a different contact attempts to use the same voucher code, then they are informed it is not valid.

  9. If you want to limit the voucher to one Delivery method, click one from the list.
  10. You can create a voucher code for a percentage discount or a fixed discount:
    • If you want the voucher to apply a discount, in the Code box, type your discount voucher product zero-price line's code, or browse to it. then type a discount percentage into the %Goods box.
    • If you want the voucher to discount by a fixed value, in the Code box, type your voucher product's code, or browse to it. This is the product that will be added to your customer's basket when they type the voucher code.
